Features: AdBlue is a 32.5% aqueous solution of carbamide (urea) developed specifically for diesel engines whose exhaust pipe is equipped with a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system. Its use reduces harmful nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions, thereby complying with the EURO IV, EURO V, and EURO VI standards for reducing pollutant emissions. Function: After AdBlue is injected into the exhaust gases upstream of the catalytic converter, the urea contained in the solution produces ammonia (NH3) and carbon dioxide (CO2). The ammonia (NH3) then reacts with the nitrogen oxides (NOx) formed during the combustion of diesel fuel. The result of the chemical reaction is harmless nitrogen (N2) and water vapor (H2O). This process is called selective catalytic reduction – SCR. Properties: The product is biodegradable and non-toxic. Colorless and odorless, soluble in water. It crystallizes at -11°C, but after thawing, all properties are fully restored. AdBlue is manufactured in accordance with ISO 22241 Part 1 and the CEFIC directive. CAUTION!
